Is it legal to run leaded gas in old cars?
And can you have lead exposure by cruising behind an old car that's running leaded gas, if so?

- If you can find leaded gas, run it. I use additive and I am still ticking.
- dunno.i dont know where anyone would get leaded gas at.
- leaded gas is legal in gas engines that were originally designed for such usage, availability is yet another subject, its not a good idea to run unleaded in a car thats not got hardened valves, the corrosion factor is strong, the chemicals will eat the valves off the rods and you`ll end up ruining the motor
- yes ...it,s legal for any pre catalyst car,s....still available at speed shop,s, small airport,s , etc....& yes you should use it unless you modify your engine with stellite valve,s [ hardened] as described in previous answer...& no...I don,t believe you would suffer from lead exposure any more than you suffer from carbon monoxide exposure on today,s road,s.
