Why are soo many people trying to sell 5 year old cars with around 100k miles for 8 thousand?
it's stupid. when you drive off a new car that's already thousands off. and your going to sell a 5 year old car with almost 100k miles for 8-10k your retarded they paid 20-25k for that car and a car that is almost 100k miles shouldnt go for more than 5k yo man the repairs are more costly when the car reaches 100k

- is not worth it you paid $30,000 for this car when is new and you only drove 100k and you sell it for under 10k ? so they are telling me that they pay $20,000 just to drive100k ?? ARE THEY STUPID YES THEY ARE THAT IS WORST THAN leasing a car !!!! well i think they are trying to aviod to drive an old car they think that after 100k the car will suck or turn bad (which it is ture) and they may have to spend thousands of $$$ in repair each year, and they don't want their car to break down on highway one day,so they just sell it and drive a new car and so they don't have to worry about repair or breakdown OKOKOK$30,000 mean including all the tax, shipping when you buy a new car and i did say"they need to spend thousands of $$$ in repair each year" when the car is over 100Kmiles
- It depends on the car. Asking and selling are 2 different positions. A modern car is good for about 15 years and 200,000 miles. If you get 1/2 the life of the car for 1/4 the price, that's about what you get to skip that new car smell. If it has an Old car smell, offer less.
- Certain $20,000 cars are consistently good for 200,000 miles when well maintained. But the price is dictated by demand and affinity. People like them, so the resale value stays high. On the other hand, there are cars that cannot hold up for 5 years regardless of maintenance. You see their prices drop steeply. You are free to choose.
- Believe or not there is people out there that will pay that much for a car that has 100k miles.
